YOUTUBE CHANNEl

Whilst at high school, I created a Youtube channel in order to upload videos that I had created. Its main purpose was to be a public locations that I could share any video editing work, using clips that I recorded from gameplay.

Since its creation, I've attempted different styles of content just to experiment with my skills and abilities, creating vlogs, montages or artwork. This helped build my already existing skill set more, and give me more confidence in the projects I present.

Due to starting university, the channel has had a bit of downtime, only seeing a few uploads when I have something to show, but always enjoy creating content for it.

Projects

Halloween Video

Every Halloween at my school, the 6th year group are given the task to make a Halloween video for the Halloween disco in which a murderer roams the school and kills off teachers. My year group didn’t want to do it this year and knowing I had skills in the video editing areas they gave me the task of finishing it.

On this YouTube channel you can find many of the other year’s videos and the way they were formatted made them seem boring and simple, I wanted to do something different this year with it also being the 5th year anniversary. I threw the old layout out the window and started work. I added a narrator with a demonic voice, highlights over the past 5 years, killing off people who were outside of the school and also added a live action part that merged with the disco (sadly that part can’t really be seen as it happened on the night). Even though this was a lot of work to do on top of my school work, I thoroughly enjoyed making it.

ARMCHAIR GENERAL TRAILER

During my final group project, we had to create a trailer for the game for our presentation. Due to the technical issues we faced with the removal of the 3D section, we were given the opportunity to present the game in our image, rather than its state.

This offered a challenge for me as the sole creator of the trailer, as a lot of the footage had to be fabricated to show the 3D portions of the game, as well as any other scrapped ideas (i.e. narrative, voice acting, characters). This gave me the chance to present the work I had put into this game regardless of the issues that occured. The music was created by a member on our design team and the footage was pulled from old testing builds of the game. I used Davinci Resolve in order to stich these clips together to create a cohesive trailer of the game we had attempted to make.
